The Bangkok Post reported on the afternoon of July 13 that investigators from Nong Prue district police station seized a 5.5-meter-long speedboat from a house on Phra Tamnak Road in Pattaya City the previous evening.
This boat is believed to be the vehicle the suspects intended to use to dump the victim's body at sea.
The boat’s owner, Olaf Thorsten Brinkmann (52), is one of four suspects arrested for the murder of German real estate broker Hans-Peter Mack (62). Mack’s body was dismembered and hidden in a freezer at a house in Pattaya.

Previously, on July 9, Brinkmann tried to bring the boat to Ocean Marina in Pattaya, but because it did not have registration papers, the boat could not be moored there. Therefore, Brinkmann had to send the boat to a friend in the above-mentioned area.
Security camera footage from a fishing tackle store shows Brinkmann and another suspect, Shahrurkh Karim Uddin, 27, buying some equipment. Uddin, a Pakistani national with Thai citizenship, was arrested on the afternoon of July 12 as he tried to flee across the border into Myanmar.
Police believe the two men planned to dump the murdered businessman's body at sea to destroy evidence.
Two other suspects have also been arrested by Thai police, two German women named Petra Christl Grundgreif (54 years old) and Nicole Frevel (52 years old). Ms. Frevel is disabled and is the tenant of the house where the German businessman's body was found.
The parents of the youngest suspect, Uddin, came to the police station and told them that their son had recently contacted Ms Grundgreif about investing in a property business. They said they had tried to stop their son from doing business with her.
Thai police suspect the case is money-related because the dead businessman transferred 2 million baht ($57,400) from his bank account before his death. A large sum of money was also missing from Mr. Mack’s account.
