Arrested employee embezzling more than 600 million VND from pharmaceutical company in An Giang

On September 22, news from the Investigation Police Agency of Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province, the unit has just decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue an order to temporarily detain Vo Van Ty (born in 1984, residing in Vinh An commune, Chau Thanh district) for the act of embezzlement of property.

Initial investigation results show that Ty is an employee of Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - An Giang branch, assigned to sell drugs, place orders, and collect money from pharmacies to pay for the company.

However, when collecting money from customers, Ty did not submit it to the company as required but used it for personal purposes. Later, Ty told the company that the pharmacies had not paid.

By the end of 2019, when the company discovered the incident and invited Ty to work, this person admitted to the violation. In addition, Ty also falsified customer information to place orders or asked pharmacies to place orders for the company to ship. After that, Ty received the above drugs and sold them to other pharmacies to get money.

By the above trick, Ty appropriated over 602 million VND from Imexpharm An Giang Company.

On February 28, 2020, Ty's labor contract was terminated by the company and he was asked to return the money he had misappropriated. However, Ty could only recover over 145 million VND, so the company filed a complaint with the police.
