Soaring through the skies of glory

On the morning of September 2nd, 17 aircraft of the Vietnam People's Air Force performed a celebratory flight over the historic Ba Dinh Square to mark the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.

The celebration began with an aerial display by the Vietnam People's Air Force (Photo: Minh Quan).

At 7:10 AM, a formation of 10 helicopters carrying the Party flag and the national flag took off from Hoa Lac airport, flying past the ceremonial platform and the Hanoi Flagpole (Photo: Vu Quang Anh).

Following that, a formation of three Casa C-295 and C-212 transport aircraft departed from Gia Lam airport and flew past the reviewing stand (Photo: Minh Quan).

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the jets departing from Kep Airport ( Bac Ninh ) changed their plans and instead flew the final segment of the celebration at 8:15 AM (Photo: Huu Khoa).
