Tan Dai Phong Tourist Pier officially opens for operation.

(CTO) - On December 24th, Tan Dai Phong Tourist Wharf was inaugurated and officially commenced operations at the Vincom embankment, Ninh Kieu ward.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Director of Tan Dai Phong Company, informed that the ferry terminal project has two investment phases. Phase 1 includes 18 vessels, along with a port system, charging station, waiting area, etc., with a total estimated cost of approximately 30 billion VND. Phase 2 will add more vessels with a capacity of 25-96 passengers to serve tourists visiting areas far from the center of Can Tho City, connecting to destinations in Hau Giang (formerly) and Soc Trang (formerly).

The commissioning of Tan Dai Phong Tourist Wharf demonstrates the commitment of businesses to partner with the government and the tourism industry of Can Tho City in connecting and exploiting the potential of river tourism. It is expected that Tan Dai Phong Tourist Wharf will serve as a safe, modern, and diverse transit point for waterway tourists, offering a variety of tourism products and river experiences. This will help retain tourists, increase spending, extend their stay, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Tan Dai Phong Tourist Wharf will operate at 4:00 AM daily, offering a variety of modern vessels for tourists to experience river tours. Currently, there are 15 itineraries for visitors to freely choose from to explore the waterways of Can Tho from morning to evening.
