With the expectation of building a new urban area worth living in Ha Dong district, the Usilk City project (Van Khe, Ha Dong) invested by Song Da Thang Long Joint Stock Company, started construction in 2008, with a total investment of over 10,000 billion VND, with 13 buildings 25 - 50 floors high; expected to be handed over by the end of 2012 with 2,700 modern apartments. |

However, more than a decade has passed, most of the buildings in the project are only under construction up to the 4th - 5th floor and continue to be abandoned, overgrown with weeds and trees, creating a giant real estate "graveyard" in the heart of the capital. |

Recently, a series of auto repair garages have appeared in the abandoned project area. These garages are located inside the project and are very active. |

Song Da Thang Long Company was established in 2006. In Ha Dong district (Hanoi), this company was approved by the People's Committee of Ha Tay province (old) as the investor of 2 projects, including Van Khe Urban Housing Area and Van Khe Urban Area Expansion (Usilk City). |

According to the Conclusion of Hanoi Inspectorate No. 99/KL-TTTP-P2 dated January 12, 2017, as of March 31, 2016, Song Da Thang Long Joint Stock Company used more than VND 5,302 billion collected from customers buying future apartments and credit institutions for external investment, using it for the wrong purpose. |
