In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi will have a total of 2,913 kindergartens, general schools at all levels and 1 Education Staff Training School (an increase of 39 kindergartens and general schools compared to the same period last year) with 2,238,000 students, 70,150 classes (an increase of about 48,000 students compared to the same period last year) and more than 140,000 teachers; there are 29 vocational education and continuing education centers.

Of which, the public school sector has 2,310 schools (an increase of 26 schools compared to the same period last year) with 1,905,000 students, 51,000 classes (an increase of about 38,000 students compared to the same period last year) and 92,000 teachers. The private school sector has 604 schools (an increase of 13 schools compared to the same period last year) with 333,000 students, 19,150 classes (an increase of about 10,000 students compared to the same period last year) and 38,000 teachers; 352 vocational education establishments, establishments with vocational education activities registered for vocational education activities (including 68 colleges, 85 secondary schools, 53 vocational education centers and 146 establishments with vocational education activities including enterprises and other types).

Based on the results achieved in the 2024 - 2025 school year in implementing the main tasks of the Industry, overcoming limitations and shortcomings, in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the Capital Education and Training sector continues to implement Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW dated May 5, 2022 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing the Capital Hanoi to 2030, with a vision to 2045. Actively innovate and create in accordance with the spirit of "Discipline and responsibility; proactive and timely; streamlined and effective; creating momentum for breakthroughs" with 5 viewpoints and key directions of the Government.

In addition, focus on implementing key tasks and solutions assigned by the Government in Resolution 01/NQ-CP dated January 8, 2025 of the Government for the education sector. Strengthening order, discipline and democracy in schools; building a safe, healthy and friendly educational environment, preventing and combating school violence; focusing on improving the quality of education at all levels and training levels; paying attention to developing learners' qualities and capacities; focusing on educating students in ethics, lifestyle, life skills and awareness of law compliance.

Preschool education continues to innovate the care and education of preschool children according to the educational perspective of putting children at the center. General education focuses on innovating teaching methods; emphasizing learning combined with practice, school education linked with family and community education; overcoming the situation of illegal extra teaching and learning. Continuing education diversifies the content and training programs to meet the lifelong learning needs of the people, contributing to building a learning society.

As for Phan Huy Chu High School, in the 2024-2025 school year, 100% of students passed high school graduation, 95% of students passed NV1 university entrance exam, 93% of students had IELTS certificates, of which over 35% scored above 7.0, 8.0; 100% of students achieved international IT certificates. This is the school year with the highest number of students exempted from the Foreign Language exam ever.

The school was recognized for achieving level 3 educational accreditation, affirming its position in the Top in terms of quality. The school ranked 31st in the national list of happy schools. The school received a Certificate of Merit from the education sector and a Certificate of Merit from the City People's Committee. In particular, last school year, the school won 3 international Gold Medals for scientific research, 1 national First Prize, 1 Third Prize and many medals. Through each competition, students reach international standards and become more mature.

The school has been recognized as a typical school for 3 consecutive years. 21 teachers have been honored as global education experts. Many teachers have received Certificates of Merit as emulation fighters. In the 2025-2026 school year, the school will welcome 10 grade 10 classes with 393 students. With the motto of solidarity, unity, improvement, and understanding, the school hopes to continue to develop more brilliantly than the last school year.
