Speaking at the meeting, Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary Le Minh Ngan expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of Udomxay province to visit and work in Lai Chau province. The Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary also introduced to the delegation general information about Lai Chau province and some achievements in some fields; about the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two sides.
Emphasizing that in recent years, the friendly and cooperative relations between Lai Chau province and Udomxay province have continued to be maintained, strengthened and developed in many fields, Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary Le Minh Ngan hopes that in the coming time, the two provinces will work together to expand and improve the quality and effectiveness of cooperation in all fields. Strengthen friendly exchange activities, continue to build practical and effective cooperative relations between sectors and localities; continue to effectively implement the contents according to the Minutes of the Talks signed by the two sides.
Affirming that Lai Chau and Udomxay provinces both have potential to develop tourism, the Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee suggested that the two sides promote cooperation in the field of tourism, jointly research to form tours and tourist routes from Lai Chau to Udomxay and vice versa. At the same time, pay attention, support and create conditions for enterprises of the two provinces to enter into joint ventures and long-term and stable investments, focusing on potential and strong fields such as agriculture , retail trade and services. Lai Chau province is ready to support training to improve skills in the fields of health and education for Udomxay province.
Through comrade Vong Sa Van Xay Nha Vong, the Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee respectfully invited the Secretary of Udom Xay Provincial Party Committee and the leaders of Udom Xay province to visit and work with Lai Chau province on an appropriate occasion so that the two sides could have exchanges and strengthen cooperative relations for mutual development.
On behalf of the working delegation, Comrade Vong Sa Van Xay Nha Vong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Udomxay Provincial Government Committee thanked the warm welcome, solidarity and friendship of the leaders of Lai Chau province. He also congratulated Comrade Le Minh Ngan who had just taken office as Secretary of the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. At the same time, Comrade Vong Sa Van Xay Nha Vong briefly informed about some outstanding results in socio -economic development, national defense - security, strengths in agricultural - forestry and tourism development of Udomxay province. He expressed his hope that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to expand comprehensive cooperation, coordinate and exchange information on socio-economic development fields to promote good relations between localities in particular and the two countries in general, especially in human resource training, education, health, agriculture, etc.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Government Committee of Udomxay hoped that Lai Chau province and the northern provinces of Laos would continue to sign memoranda of understanding and coordinate more closely in all fields to strengthen the close and sustainable relationship that has been maintained over the years. He also invited the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of Lai Chau province to visit and work with Udomxay province as soon as possible.
At the end of the reception, Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary Le Minh Ngan affirmed that the Party Committee and government of Lai Chau province always promote the spirit of solidarity between the two localities so that the relationship between the two sides will be increasingly connected and developed together. Regarding the invitation to visit and work with Udomxay province, Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary assigned the Department of Foreign Affairs to arrange a plan for the Lai Chau Provincial Delegation to visit Udomxay province at an appropriate time.
During the reception, the leaders of the two sides gave each other gifts and took souvenir photos.
