Quoc Oai: Spreading the spirit of charity from the launching ceremony to support people in storm-hit areas

HNP - On October 13, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Quoc Oai commune solemnly held the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week, and launched a fundraising movement to support people in localities heavily affected by storm No. 11.

Leaders of the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee and cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of Quoc Oai commune performed the flag-saluting ceremony at the beginning of the week.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Quoc Oai Commune Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan shared that the recent storm No. 11 has caused great damage in many provinces and cities, causing thousands of households to fall into difficult situations, suffering heavy losses in human lives and property. In light of that reality, the Fatherland Front Committee of the Commune called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the commune to contribute at least one day's salary to help and share with people in the storm and flood areas.

Promoting the nation's tradition of charity, with the spirit of "mutual love", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", the leaders of Quoc Oai commune called on the people, agencies, units, businesses and philanthropists in the area to join hands in responding to the support movement. Every contribution, no matter how small, is a valuable source of encouragement, helping people in disaster areas to quickly overcome the consequences, stabilize their lives and continue production.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Quoc Oai Commune Mobilization Committee received the initial contribution of 47.2 million VND. The entire amount was transferred to the Flood and Storm Prevention Fund of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee to be sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, in order to promptly support localities severely affected by storm No. 11.

Leaders of the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee and cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of Quoc Oai commune responded to the donation program to support people in localities affected by storm No. 11.

The ceremony demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, affection and responsibility of the cadres and people of Quoc Oai towards the people of the whole country. Thereby, strongly spreading the message of humanity, connecting the community, continuing the fine traditions of the Vietnamese people.
