At the reception, Colonel Le Huy congratulated Quang Nam on its strong and remarkable development, from a province facing many difficulties after re-establishment to the present time. The Colonel expressed his pride when the Coast Guard Region 2 Command was stationed in Quang Nam; at the same time, he thanked the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches, agencies, military and border units for maintaining good relationships with the unit.
In his new position (Colonel Le Huy holds the position of Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command from the beginning of March 2025 - PV), Colonel Le Huy hopes to continue to receive attention and support from the locality to overcome difficulties and challenges in the coming time, towards building an increasingly strong Coast Guard Region 2.
Speaking at the reception, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet congratulated Colonel Le Huy on being entrusted with the key leadership position of Coast Guard Region 2. The Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged the important contributions of the unit in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands, supporting fishermen both at sea and on shore. As a key force in a key sea area, Coast Guard Region 2 has achieved many feats, becoming a reliable support for people at sea.
Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet believes that, inheriting the mission from previous leaders, Colonel Le Huy and the collective will maintain and improve the quality of activities, creating new steps of development. Quang Nam is always ready to accompany and support with the highest affection and responsibility, contributing to serving the political tasks of the province.
The Provincial Party Secretary also said that, according to the Central Government's policy, steps to reorganize the apparatus will be carried out. The unit will continue to be located in the area, opening up many new opportunities and potentials for stronger development. Currently, Quang Nam is focusing on eliminating "3 no" fishing vessels (unregistered, uninspected, unlicensed), coordinating with the Coast Guard to combat IUU fishing (illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing). The province also focuses on developing the marine industry, changing occupations for fishermen, and ensuring security and order. In the coming time, solutions will be implemented more closely, extensively and comprehensively.
Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet wished Colonel Le Huy and the Coast Guard Region 2 to reap many achievements in the renovation period, continue to contribute to the development of the province and protect the national sovereignty over seas and islands.
