On the afternoon of November 10, Party Central Committee member, Secretary of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Gau attended the 2024 National Great Unity Day with officials and people of Tan Thiep village, Xuong Lam commune, Lang Giang district.
Also attending the festival were comrades: Tran Cong Thang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Tran Quang Dao - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Van Thi - Secretary of Lang Giang district; representatives of the leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, local branches and units and cadres and people of Tan Thiep village, Xuong Lam commune, Lang Giang district.
Here, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Gau, delegates and people of Tan Thiep village, Xuong Lam commune, Lang Giang district reviewed the 94-year history of building and growing the Vietnam Fatherland Front; evaluated the implementation of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns of cadres and people of Tan Thiep village.
Tan Thiep village has 181 households with 698 people divided into 9 inter-family groups and over 20 different clans. Tan Thiep Party cell currently has 19 party members, 6 departments, branches, organizations and 2 clubs.
In 2024, despite many difficulties and obstacles, the cadres and people of Tan Thiep village have promoted the spirit of solidarity and strived to well implement the contents of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas". The appearance of Tan Thiep village is increasingly renewed, political security, order and social safety are stable. People's lives are constantly improved and enhanced, political and social organizations in the village continue to strengthen their activities, successfully completing assigned tasks.
Responding to the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas", cadres, party members and people of Tan Thiep village have always been exemplary in responding. People voluntarily donated 630 square meters of land for roads and public works of the village; contributed 745 million VND in counterpart funds and 130 working days to build the Cultural House and auxiliary works... Up to now, the whole village has solidified over 7 km of roads 3-5m wide; 100% of inter-family groups in the village have street lights; the village has fully completed the criteria and has been recognized as a model new rural village.
The village actively mobilizes people to implement village covenants and regulations on civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals according to regulations. Neighborhood relationships are increasingly maintained and become closer. The whole village has 176/181 households, reaching 97% of the number of households achieving the title of cultural family, including 2 typical families that were commended by the People's Committee of the commune.
The people in the village have developed many production models, applied scientific and technological advances, bringing efficiency, productivity and stable income. Currently, there are only 02 poor households and 01 near-poor household in the village, equal to 1.6%, lower than the average of the province. Children in the village all go to school; the rate of people participating in health insurance reaches 100%... The implementation of democracy regulations at the grassroots level, implementing the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check, people benefit" is focused on, contributing to strengthening consensus and social stability.
Speaking at the Festival, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Gau was very pleased, acknowledged and commended the results achieved by the Party Committee, government, Front Working Committee and People of Tan Thiep village, Xuong Lam commune, Lang Giang district in the past time.
He emphasized that for many years now, the organization of the National Great Unity Day, on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, has become a beautiful tradition, bringing the work of the Front back to the community, towards each family and each person. The results of the Festival have brought great spiritual values, strengthened consensus, aroused the tradition of solidarity, cultural identity of the people in residential areas, honored the strength of the community, contributed to the successful implementation of political tasks, socio-economic development from each village, hamlet, residential group, residential area... in the whole province.
In the coming time, he requested the Party Committee, the government, the Front Working Committee and the mass organizations of Tan Thiep village to promote the achieved results, continue to promote the spirit of solidarity; actively propagate and mobilize cadres, party members and people in the village to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and local regulations. Proactively grasp the situation, thoughts and aspirations of the people, promptly resolve or propose and advise competent authorities to promptly and effectively resolve; well implement democratic regulations, consolidate and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc.
Focus on promoting strengths to develop the economy; encourage and motivate all classes of people, each household and each individual to work hard in production, business, and strive to become rich legitimately. Synchronously implement solutions to ensure security and order, create a stable and solid environment for people to feel secure in doing business, producing, and participating in socio-economic development.
Focus on improving and enhancing the material and spiritual life of the people along with improving the quality of people's education. Pay attention to building a cultural and civilized lifestyle; protect and build a bright - green - clean - beautiful rural environment; continue to maintain and enhance the criteria of the model new rural area. Mobilize resources to care for and help the poor, people in difficult circumstances, people with revolutionary contributions; strive for no more poor households in the village.
Continue to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, eliminate backward customs and superstitions, protect the environment, maintain security and order; promptly commend advanced models, outstanding collectives and individuals in all fields. Each family and each person should contribute to building the homeland with small but practical actions... Do a good job of propaganda, dissemination and preparation for the successful organization of the Village Party Congress according to the direction of superiors; deploy political and ideological activities to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary presented flower baskets and gifts to the people, cadres and party members of Tan Thiep village; presented gifts to 20 policy households, meritorious people, and families in difficult circumstances in the village. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to the people and cadres of Tan Thiep village with outstanding achievements in building the great national unity bloc; The District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Giang district presented 5 million VND to Tan Thiep village, Xuong Lam commune, Lang Giang district. Also on this occasion, Lang Giang district announced the decision of the Chairman of the District People's Committee recognizing Tan Thiep village, Xuong Lam commune as meeting the model new-style rural standards in 2024.
