BIDV and Viettel signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the period 2024-2028

The signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement took place on November 27 in Hanoi , continuing the good cooperation results that the two units have achieved from the Memorandum of Understanding on Comprehensive Cooperation for the period 2019-2023.

BIDV and Viettel continue to affirm the strong relationship between the two leading units in the fields of banking and finance and industry - telecommunications; aiming to become comprehensive partners to build a long-term and sustainable cooperation strategy in the overall development plan of the two enterprises.

Mr. Tao Duc Thang (Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group) and Mr. Le Ngoc Lam (General Director of BIDV) represented the two units to sign the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement for the period 2024-2028.

According to the signed agreement, BIDV will provide comprehensive financial solutions to Viettel including banking, securities, insurance products... at competitive costs.

Viettel ensures to provide BIDV with telecommunications and information technology products/services of optimal quality such as: Viettel Cloud ecosystem; information technology infrastructure and equipment; information security and safety products; technology products to enhance customer experience and optimize operations; business management and operation solution products, etc.

Both parties agree to prioritize the use of a variety of each other's products and services based on the needs and interests of each party, ensuring compliance with the law. At the same time, they commit to creating favorable conditions for providing preferential products and services to each party's customers; and coordinate to create new products and utilities for society.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Chairman of BIDV's Board of Directors, shared: " BIDV highly appreciates and congratulates Viettel's achievements over nearly 35 years of development; at the same time, we deeply appreciate and thank Viettel for its support in contributing to BIDV's success in the past time, especially Viettel is the first network operator to support upgrading internet bandwidth so that BIDV can successfully convert the Core Banking system last September.

Hopefully today's signing ceremony will mark a new development step with outstanding achievements in the cooperative relationship between the two units ".

On Viettel's side, Mr. Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of the Group, emphasized: " In Viettel's development, there is always the support and companionship of BIDV. The products and services that BIDV provides to Viettel bring satisfaction and are very reliable. Hopefully, the cooperation program between BIDV and Viettel will be implemented in the spirit of strong innovation, further improving the quality of services and coordination methods between the two sides ".

The leaders of both sides also agreed to further promote the spirit of diverse and effective cooperation, commensurate with the potential of the two leading units in the country. Both sides will devote the best resources to cooperation and development in the coming time, maximizing the strengths of each side to create high-value products for customers, the community and society.
