Therefore, she always longs and worries about doing something to support people with disabilities to integrate into the community, be confident and creative.
After much effort, Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Nga established the Pink Heart Handicraft Cooperative, creating jobs for nearly 50 disabled workers in Trung Gia commune. The main products of the cooperative are handicraft products from wooden beads, such as: Rosewood beaded office chair cushions; curtains, blinds, rosewood beaded massage pillows; rosewood beaded bracelets, rosaries, rosewood car seat covers, rosewood beaded sleeping mats and white oyster mushroom production. The income of each member is 3-5 million VND/person/month.
Notably, the cooperative employs 87% of its workforce who are people with disabilities. Each person with disabilities who comes to study and work at the cooperative has different circumstances and fates; some are crippled, limp, mute, deaf, mentally disabled, or have stiff jaws, making communication difficult...
The cooperative's handicraft products are not only the result of dedication and perseverance but also the mark of a united and humane community.
