OCOP products from people with "hearts of love"
Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Nga, Chairwoman and Director of the Pink Heart Handicraft Cooperative (Hamlet 9, Go Soi Village, Trung Gia Commune, Hanoi City), is a person with a disability and therefore deeply understands the difficulties and barriers faced by the disabled community.
After much effort, Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Nga established the Pink Heart Handicraft Cooperative, creating jobs for nearly 50 disabled workers in Trung Gia commune. The cooperative's main products are handicrafts made from wood beads, such as: office chair cushions made from fragrant wood beads; curtains, blinds, and massage pillows made from fragrant wood beads; bracelets and rosaries made from fragrant wood beads; car seat covers made from fragrant wood beads; sleeping mats made from fragrant wood beads; and the production of white oyster mushrooms. Each member earns 3-5 million VND per person per month.
Notably, the cooperative employs 87% people with disabilities. Each person with a disability who comes to learn and work at the cooperative has a different background and circumstances; some have deformed hands, limp, are mute or deaf, others have intellectual disabilities, or suffer from jaw stiffness making communication difficult...
The handicrafts produced by the cooperative are not only the result of dedication and perseverance but also a testament to a united and humane community.
