VIMC welcomes the Ambassador and Commercial Counselor of Panama to visit and work

On the morning of July 16, 2025, Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC) was honored to welcome Ms. Nubiela Ayala Modes - Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to Vietnam and Ms. Mariley Pino-Pinto Perez - Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Panama to visit and work at the headquarters of the Corporation.

At the meeting, VIMC General Director Le Anh Son gave an overview of the formation and development process of the Corporation over the past 30 years, and shared about the capacity of the fleet, the seaport system stretching from North to South, as well as the integrated logistics services that VIMC is providing. The Corporation also emphasized the strategic direction in the new period of expanding international cooperation, developing green maritime services and comprehensive digital transformation.

Ms. Nubiela Ayala Modes highly appreciated the role and position of VIMC in the regional supply chain, especially in the context of Vietnam's increasingly deep integration into the global economy . The two sides also discussed the potential for cooperation between maritime enterprises of Vietnam and Panama - a country with the world's leading ship registration system and holding a strategic canal connecting the two oceans.

The visit is a significant milestone contributing to strengthening the connection between VIMC and global maritime partners, while promoting substantive cooperation between Vietnam and Panama in the field of maritime transport and logistics.
