From the afternoon of April 18th, a stream of motorbikes and cars from neighboring localities of Cua Lo town, Nghe An province, and tourists poured down to Cua Lo beach.
Because the opening day of the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2024 coincided with the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday, the number of visitors to Cua Lo beach increased dramatically.
This year, visitors to Cua Lo have witnessed many positive changes, bringing a new, more modern look and more beautiful scenery. In particular, the local authorities have cleared more than 200 shops that were obstructing access to the beach in the Binh Minh road area.
Besides renovating and expanding many roads, Cua Lo town has also created many scenic spots and gardens of sea daisies near the beach for tourists to take photos.
Many luxury hotels in Cua Lo are almost fully booked, with average room prices ranging from 1.5 to 5 million VND per night.
To become an attractive tourist destination, the leaders of Cua Lo have been actively involved, requiring wards and communes to thoroughly address existing problems, especially focusing on eliminating price gouging and aggressive touting of tourists.
Before the tourist season, all kiosks serving drinks and food are required to display price lists and publicly provide the hotline numbers of ward leaders, ward police, and town officials.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, emphasized: "After 117 years of being a tourist destination and 30 years of construction and development, Cua Lo town is gradually transforming, taking on the appearance of a bustling coastal tourist city, an ideal and attractive resort and experiential destination."
The infrastructure, hotels, and guesthouses can accommodate more than 30,000 overnight guests. The Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2024 is an opportunity for Nghe An province to introduce and promote its unique tourism values, resources, and products to friends and tourists both domestically and internationally.
In addition to the art program "Cua Lo - Aspiration to Shine" and the spectacular fireworks display, the organizers also presented an artistic light show using hundreds of drones creating artistic shapes in the air.
On this occasion, Cua Lo town also received the certificate recognizing the Yen Luong Temple Festival as a national intangible cultural heritage – a folk festival associated with the worship of the Four Holy Mothers and other benevolent deities of coastal residents, passed down through hundreds of years.
