Binh Dinh adds list of 22 land lots for bidding to select investors

Binh Dinh Provincial People's Council has just issued a resolution to supplement the list of land plots for bidding to select investors to implement investment projects using land in the province.

Accordingly, in the list of 22 land plots, Binh Dinh has 8 energy projects conducting bidding to select investors.

These projects include 4 wind power projects including Van Canh 1 Wind Power Plant (56 hectares, capacity 160 MW); Van Canh 2 Wind Power Plant (63 hectares, capacity 180 MW); Vinh Thuan Wind Power Plant (50 hectares, capacity 143 MW); Hon Trau Wind Power Plant - phase 1 (49.22 hectares, capacity 750 MW).

3 solar power projects include Hoai Duc Solar Power Plant (59 hectares, capacity 50 MW), Hoai Thanh Solar Power Plant (70 hectares, capacity 60 MW), Ho Nui Mot Solar Power Plant (120 hectares, 100 MW).

The remaining project is Hoi Van Geothermal Power Plant with an area of ​​4 hectares, capacity of 15 MW (total investment of 850 billion VND).

Except for the Hoi Van Geothermal Power Plant Project, the remaining projects are included in the Decision on Adjusting the National Power Development Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 (Adjusting Power Plan VIII). At the same time, most of the projects have had investors proposing implementation.

Specifically, the Van Canh 1 Wind Power Plant Project has a total investment of VND 5,640 billion, and the Van Canh 2 Wind Power Plant Project has a total investment of VND 6,345 billion. These two projects are implemented in Van Canh district, proposed by Nam Hai Technology Co., Ltd. and have installed wind measuring columns to collect wind data since August 2024.

The Vinh Thuan Wind Power Plant Project has a total investment of VND 4,860 billion in Vinh Thuan Commune, Vinh Thanh District. This project was proposed by WPD Vietnam Company (a member of WPD Group, Germany) and has installed wind measuring columns to collect wind data since July 2024.

The Hon Trau Wind Power Plant Project - Phase 1 has a total investment of 45,000 billion VND and is implemented in Phu My and Phu Cat districts. The project was proposed by PNE Group (Germany). The project has installed wind measuring equipment to collect wind data since May 2022 and has completed wind measurement work.

Nui Mot Lake Solar Power Plant (floating solar power, occupying 110 hectares of water surface) has a total investment of 2,750 billion VND, implemented in Nhon Tan commune, An Nhon town. Dong Mit Hydropower Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company has conducted a preliminary survey and assessed the radiation potential for this project.

Two solar power projects implemented in Hoai Nhon town have been preliminarily surveyed: Hoai Duc Solar Power Plant with a total investment of 780 billion VND and Hoai Thanh Solar Power Plant with a total investment of 942 billion VND.

The remaining 14 projects are mostly real estate projects (urban areas, residential areas, tourism , etc.). Some large-scale projects include the Urban Development Space, Resort, Trade and Services, Tourism and De Gi Marina Project, covering an area of ​​5,200 hectares in Phu My and Phu Cat districts; the My Chanh Tay Residential Area Project, covering an area of ​​80 hectares in My Chanh Tay commune, Phu My district; the Cat Hai Center Urban Area Project, covering an area of ​​72 hectares in Cat Hai commune, Phu Cat district, etc.

According to the People's Council of Binh Dinh province, 21 projects are planned to organize bidding to select investors in the period of 2025 - 2026, the remaining project (Bong Son Traditional Market and Trade Service Project Phase 2) will be implemented in the period of 2025 - 2027. The time to organize bidding to select investors is from 10 to 12 months.

Regarding energy projects, at the Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Conference 2025 (held on March 28), Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, said that according to the approved supplement to the Power Plan VIII, the total capital that investors committed and registered in the energy sector in Binh Dinh province is nearly 100,000 billion VND.
"After the Government approves the supplement to the 8th Power Plan, we will carry out the next investment procedures," Mr. Tuan affirmed.
According to the approval of the Adjustment of Power Plan VIII in Decision No. 768/QDTTg, dated April 15, 2025 of the Prime Minister , Binh Dinh province has 12 projects allocated in addition to the approved Power Plan VIII. The total investment of the 12 projects is 85,583 billion VND.
Including 4 onshore and nearshore wind power projects with a total capacity of 1,233 MW; 6 concentrated solar power projects with a total capacity of 500 MW; Binh Dinh Biomass Power Plant Project with a capacity of 50 MW; Vinh Thanh Pumped Storage Hydropower Project with a capacity of 600 MW.
