Binh Dinh relegated, SHB Da Nang plays for the play-off ticket, Tien Linh wins the Golden Boot

(Dan Tri) - The final match day of V-League 2024-25 determined the positions in the upper and lower groups. Notably, the traditional team Binh Dinh was relegated, while SHB Da Nang played the play-off ticket.

At Quy Nhon Stadium, Binh Dinh Club lost 2-4 to former champion Ha Noi FC. This defeat officially relegated the team, regardless of the remaining results.

With Hanoi FC, they firmly consolidated their second place in the table, thereby winning the silver medal (HCB) in this season's V-League.

Meanwhile, at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi Police Football Club (CAHN) won 2-0 against Hai Phong team. With this victory, CAHN Club surpassed The Cong Viettel to win the bronze medal.

The remaining notable race is the race to “escape” the play-off match to maintain the position between SHB Da Nang and Quang Nam Club. SHB Da Nang has the necessary condition of winning 3-1 against SLNA at Tam Ky Stadium.

However, they could not have enough conditions, when Quang Nam Club had an important 3-3 draw against HAGL at Pleiku Stadium. With this draw, Quang Nam Club was just enough to rank above SHB Da Nang in LPBank V-League 2024-25.

Quang Nam has 26 points, one point more than SHB Da Nang. SHB Da Nang will play a play-off match to maintain their position with the second-placed team in the first division, Binh Phuoc. The play-off match will take place on the afternoon of June 27 at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC).

Also in the final round taking place this afternoon, striker Nguyen Tien Linh scored a goal, helping Binh Duong Club beat Thanh Hoa Club 1-0 at Binh Duong Stadium.

This goal helped Tien Linh have 14 goals, he won the co-top scorer award with two foreign players Goncalves Lucas (Lucao) of Hai Phong and Alan Alexandre of CAHN Club.

Tien Linh became the 4th domestic player in the history of the V-League to win the top scorer title, after strikers Dang Dao (Khanh Hoa, 2000-2001 season), Ho Van Loi (Saigon Port, 2001-2002 season) and Nguyen Anh Duc (Binh Duong, 2017).
