After losing 0-4 to Spain, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face another tough opponent, Kenya. This is an opportunity for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team to perfect their techniques and tactics before the 2025 World Championship.
Notably, Kenya is also the opponent in the same group as Bich Tuyen and her teammates at the world tournament. Besides Kenya, the Vietnamese girls also met Germany and Poland.
In the loss to Spain, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet experimented with his personnel. However, he must frankly admit that the home team played below their ability against an opponent 10 places below them in the world rankings.

Step 1 became a "disaster" for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. Nguyen Thi Uyen's position was continuously exploited by Spanish athletes. In addition, Vietnam's attack was ineffective and lacked flexibility when facing a blocker with a lot of experience and good height.
Although it is just a friendly match that does not matter in terms of result, it is clear that the SEA V-League stage 2 champion needs to show a positive face in the match against Kenya.
Kenya is currently ranked 23rd in the world, just one place below Vietnam, and is the strongest team in Africa with 10 championships. Like Spain, this team has advantages in terms of physique, fitness, and understanding in all positions.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet may be calculating to "hide his cards" before meeting Kenya again at the world tournament, however, the Vietnamese women's team also needs to show changes, aiming for a "watchable" match against the representative from Africa.
The Vietnam vs Kenya women's volleyball match will take place at 7:00 p.m. on August 19 at Dong Anh Stadium, Hanoi .
Vietnam women's volleyball team to go to Thailand on August 20
After finishing two friendly matches in Dong Anh, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team moved to Thailand at 10:30 on August 20, preparing for the 2025 World Cup. This highly anticipated tournament takes place from August 22 to September 7, bringing together 32 of the world's strongest teams.
