The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province has just issued the framework plan for the 2025-2026 school year for preschool, general education , and continuing education throughout the province. Accordingly, students will return to school on August 29th. However, students in the first grades of each level, including grades 1, 9, and 12, will return to school earlier, on August 22nd.
The first semester must end before January 18, 2026; the entire school year program must be completed before May 31, 2026. The assessment for completion of the primary school program and the assessment for graduation from lower secondary school will be completed before June 30, 2026. Enrollment for entry-level classes is required to be completed before July 31, 2026.
The 2026 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 11th and 12th, 2026. Other national-level exams will be conducted according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training , while provincial-level exams will be planned and organized by the Department of Education and Training in accordance with regulations.
Regarding holidays, educational institutions will follow current regulations. Specifically for the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse), students will be on holiday from February 13, 2026 (the 26th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake) until February 23, 2026 (the 7th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Horse). Officials and employees will follow separate guidelines from the Ministry of Education and Training and the Provincial People's Committee.
In the event of natural disasters, epidemics, or other unusual circumstances that disrupt teaching and learning, educational institutions are permitted to proactively suspend classes after reporting to the competent authorities, while also having to arrange for serious make-up classes to ensure the academic year plan is completed.
