FPT and many technology corporations, research institutes, universities and experts from both countries at the "Vietnam - UK Semiconductor Forum"
On August 18, in Hanoi , the National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with the British Embassy organized the "Vietnam - UK Semiconductor Forum" with the participation of many technology corporations, research institutes, universities and experts from both countries. Here, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van - Chief of Office of FPT Semiconductor, FPT Corporation presented the business situation of FPT's semiconductor sector and made proposals for bilateral cooperation, including:
First, promote education and training linkages in microchip design, packaging and testing, advanced materials and AI.
Second, encourage the establishment of R&D centers by British corporations and organizations in Vietnam.
Third, build an incubator platform and innovation investment fund to support ideas originating from the two countries.
FPT representative participated in the forum to present about FPT's semiconductor business situation and proposed bilateral cooperation.
British businesses and organizations, including ARM and Oxford Instruments, expressed their goodwill to cooperate, contributing to promoting sustainable development of the semiconductor industry, thereby strengthening the strategic cooperation between Vietnam and the UK.
Previously, on August 1 in Hanoi, FPT also welcomed a delegation of leaders from Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and Granage LLP to visit and work at FPT Tower. The program focused on discussing Vietnam's growing role in the global semiconductor supply chain, as well as discussing investment opportunities, technology transfer, and the development of a comprehensive semiconductor ecosystem.

At the meeting, FPT introduced its chip design capabilities, reliable fabless model, “Chip Make in Vietnam” initiative and FPT Chip Inside Ecosystem – solutions for many fields from transportation, energy to industrial IoT and consumer electronics. The parties agreed to continue researching and implementing cooperation initiatives on human resources, R&D infrastructure and policies, aiming to make Vietnam an important link in the global semiconductor industry.
The two sides shared a commitment to continue assessing the feasibility and implementing cooperation initiatives to promote human resource development and R&D infrastructure.
FPT's continuous expansion of cooperation with leading international partners - from the UK to Japan - not only strengthens the company's pioneering position in the semiconductor industry, but also contributes to realizing the vision of building a sustainable semiconductor ecosystem, making practical contributions to the development of the digital economy and the goal of raising Vietnam's position on the world technology map.
