Author Tran Minh Luong (Can Tho City) won the Gold Medal at the 2025 Young Photography Festival

(CTO) - On the afternoon of August 18, at the special national relic of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Hanoi), the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired and coordinated with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi to organize the 6th Youth Photography Festival Award Ceremony, 2025.

Author Tran Minh Luong ( Can Tho City) was excellently awarded the Gold Medal at this Young Photography Festival with the photo series "Lighting up green aspirations".

After 10 years of formation and development, with 6 times of organization (2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025), the Youth Photography Festival has become a prestigious and professional art playground, attracting a large number of young people passionate about photography from all over the country.

The 6th Young Photography Festival has over 2,000 works (including over 1,800 works in the realistic photography genre, 205 works in the conceptual photography genre) by 221 authors from 29 provinces and cities across the country.

The Art Council selected 124 works (110 works in the realism category and 24 works in the conceptual category) by 73 authors for display. Of these, 17 best works were selected for awards, with 2 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals, 5 Bronze Medals and 7 Encouragement Prizes.

Author Tran Minh Luong (Can Tho City) was excellently awarded the Gold Medal at this Youth Photography Festival with the photo series "Lighting up green aspirations". Explaining this photo series, author Tran Minh Luong said: "From the lake to the hillside, from the valley to the sea, renewable energy sources are lighting up the nation's strong journey of development. Wind turbines and solar panels not only generate electricity, but also spread the belief in an era of sustainable, self-reliant and green development. This is a moment of transformation, where nature and humans together create the future".

* At the 6th Youth Photography Festival in 2025, another author from Can Tho, Le Tuan Anh, a teacher at Bui Huu Nghia High School (Binh Thuy Ward), was honored to have 2 works selected for display. These are the conceptual work titled “Everyday Dinner” and the photo series “Swimming Classroom”.
