Actively build infrastructure, ensure social security

In the 2024-2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Hung commune registered to carry out 14 projects and tasks: building new and upgrading bridges and roads; mobilizing socialization to install public lighting, associated with building bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe roads... Thereby, actively contributing to the construction of infrastructure, ensuring social security, gradually improving people's lives.

Collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement for the period 2020-2025 were commended and rewarded at the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thoi Hung commune, term 2025-2030.

In August 2024, the people of Hamlet 6, Thoi Hung Commune were very excited when the N canal bridge, route B6 was completed and put into use. Previously, the old bridge was degraded, the bridge surface was narrow, and travel was difficult. Therefore, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Commune coordinated with the Commune People's Committee, Party Cell, and Front Work Committee of Hamlet 6 to mobilize organizations, philanthropists, and people to contribute money and working days to build a new bridge.

The new N canal bridge is 25m long, 3.5m wide, with a total construction cost of 260 million VND and 200 working days. Mr. Vo Van Tu, a resident of Hamlet 6, said: "Through the propaganda of the Front officials, I understand that the project is carried out for the common benefit of the local people, so I volunteered to contribute working days and join the brothers in building the bridge. Now the new bridge has been completed, trade is convenient and safe, everyone is excited."

During the term, with a high sense of responsibility, the Commune Front and its member organizations focused on implementing the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", activities for the poor, and supporting people affected by natural disasters. The mobilization of the "For the Poor" Fund was carried out with attention. As a result, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee and member organizations mobilized support for the construction and repair of 15 Great Unity houses, Farmer's Shelters, and Love Shelters, with a total value of over 750 million VND; coordinated to organize free medical examination and treatment for more than 2,000 people; mobilized to give 250 gifts to policy families, poor households, and those in difficult circumstances on holidays and Tet, with a total value of over 160 million VND.

The commune's socio -political organizations effectively manage the Social Policy Bank's loan groups, helping many households borrow preferential loans for production and business; build many effective economic models; create jobs... helping union members, association members and people increase their income and improve their lives. In particular, the Thoi Hung Commune Plastic Rope Knitting Cooperative model, established by the Commune Women's Union in 2017, is creating jobs for more than 230 members and women, with an income of 3-5 million VND/month.

Previously, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thanh in Hamlet 3 was a housewife and took care of her young children. The family's economy depended on her husband working for hire. In 2024, Ms. Ngoc Thanh was encouraged by the Women's Union to participate in the plastic rope weaving model. Currently, Ms. Ngoc Thanh has an income of more than 3 million VND/month. Ms. Do Thi Nuong's family in Hamlet 3 has no land for production and mainly works for hire, so they do not have the conditions to repair the old, dilapidated house. In 2022, her family was mobilized by the local government and the Women's Union to donate a Charity Shelter; supported in making loan applications to open a grocery store at home... Currently, Ms. Nuong's family has escaped poverty...

The practical actions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Hung commune and its member organizations have contributed to improving the criteria for building a model new rural commune, gradually improving the material and spiritual life of the people. In the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Hung commune strives to: every year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune and socio-political organizations mobilize and donate social resources, support the "For the Poor" Fund and social security, help at least 2 near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances to escape near-poverty. Strive to support the construction of 5 or more new Great Unity houses by the end of the term; develop 18 start-up models among union members and association members...

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune identified specific tasks and solutions to successfully implement the set targets. Thereby, continuing to build the great national unity bloc, strengthening social consensus, promoting all potentials and resources of the people, creating new momentum for Thoi Hung commune to develop quickly and sustainably.
