On the morning of August 19, General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony of 250 projects and works across the country to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, at the National Exhibition and Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi).

The inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony was held online from the central point (National Exhibition and Fair Center) to 79 points in 34 provinces and cities.

Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh reported on the implementation process and construction progress of 250 works and projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup Corporation, introduced the National Exhibition Fair Center project invested by Vingroup. The project has a total area of over 900,000 m2, is positioned to become the largest exhibition center complex in Southeast Asia and is in the Top 10 largest exhibition complexes in the world.

The heart of the complex is the Kim Quy exhibition building - an iconic structure with a giant steel dome weighing 24,000 tons, 56m high, simulating the image of the Kim Quy God - a sacred spirit associated with the legend of the Co Loa heritage land. Image connecting to bridge point No. 2 Ton Duc Thang, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, with the 55-storey Saigon Marina IFC Building inaugurated at Ba Son land, marking the first step in the roadmap to build the International Financial Center of Ho Chi Minh City.

Within the framework of the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony, General Secretary To Lam, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, awarded the First Class Labor Medal to Vingroup Corporation for its outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing the construction of the National Exhibition and Fair Center.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, presented the Third Class Labor Medal to Vietnam Electricity Group, the National Power Transmission Corporation (Vietnam Electricity Group) and Mr. Dang Hoang An, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Electricity Group.

The Prime Minister awarded Certificates of Merit to many organizations and individuals with many achievements in helping to inaugurate many key projects on time.
