Construction begins on the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway.

On the morning of August 19th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Construction Project (Phase 1) took place in Dau Giay commune, Dong Nai province. Attending the ceremony were Ms. Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province; Mr. Bui Quang Thai, Director of the Vietnam Road Administration; and representatives of the investors.

Construction begins on the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project.

The Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project (over 60km long) is the first section of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway, which is over 200km long. The project is invested by the Truong Hai - Son Hai Infrastructure Development and Construction consortium under the PPP (public-private partnership) - BOT (build-operate-transfer) contract model with a total capital of nearly 8,500 billion VND, of which the State provides over 1,600 billion VND for land acquisition.

The expressway will have 4 lanes, a design speed of 100 km/h, starting at the Dau Giay intersection (Dau Giay commune) and ending at Phu Lam commune ( Dong Nai province). Construction is expected to take 2 years, and once operational, the expressway will alleviate traffic congestion on National Highway 20, creating a breakthrough in transportation connectivity between Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, the southeastern provinces, and the Central Highlands.
