The contest is part of a series of activities to implement the "Program to promote and support people, businesses, and business households to have a reliable and safe online presence with digital services using the national domain name "⋅vn" in provinces and cities across the country in the period of 2024 - 2025" according to Decision 826/QD-BTTTT of the Ministry of Information and Communications dated May 21, 2024, aiming to popularize the national domain name ".vn" for individuals and organizations nationwide, especially encouraging young people to build a reputable, safe and Vietnamese digital brand on the Internet environment.
Mr. Do Quang Trung - Head of Vietnam Internet Center Branch said: "The national domain name ".vn" is a sign of Vietnam's identity in cyberspace, safe and reliable. Through competitions such as "BrandID - Digital Citizen with ID.VN domain name", we hope to help the young generation be more aware of the importance of owning a personal digital brand associated with the national domain name ".vn", thereby contributing to the goal of popularizing the national domain name ".vn" and enhancing the value of the national brand on the Internet.
The special feature of the contest is that each contestant is required to use the domain name "id.vn" for the contest website. This is a strategic step, contributing to forming the habit of owning a national digital identity, strengthening trust and spreading the message that an individual - a digital identity - carries the national name of Vietnam in cyberspace.
