"When the flood came, my family didn't have time to move any belongings, we just ran to a neighbor's house on higher ground to avoid the flood. Life as a farmer is difficult, and now that the flood has passed, it's even more difficult," Ms. Duyen lamented.

When the water started to rise, Thu and her husband took their two young children to a neighbor's house. When the water rose, the couple clung to an electric wire and ran to a neighbor's house to avoid the flood.
