Entering the semi-finals, Challenge the Limits 2025 officially kicked off the dramatic sprint. This is where the scores will directly decide the ticket to the final, forcing the teams to put all their efforts into breaking through. Taking on the role of "holding the scales of justice" with singer Nguyen Vu in this important competition night is musician Nguyen Van Chung. With a long history of artistic activities and sharp musical thinking, the appearance of the male musician in the hot seat has brought profound professional perspectives, strongly inspiring young talents.

The highlight of the night was the performance of “Su Trang” by singer Red (Producer Chi Tam’s team). Choosing a “monumental” song by the late musician Trinh Cong Son was a risky move, but this producer-singer duo proved their mettle. Chi Tam boldly dressed the song in a new style of city pop mixed with a bit of disco, creating a musical space that was both nostalgic and modern.

Judge Nguyen Van Chung could not hide his surprise: "I was very surprised when Chi Tam arranged the song Ha Trang in a style that I had not thought of at all. Even after listening to the intro, I still could not imagine how the singer sang it." However, Red's performance completely conquered the male musician. He commented that Red handled the song very intelligently, creating absolute harmony between the vocals and the arrangement, helping the audience clearly understand the artistic intention that the producer "inserted" into the arrangement.

Besides the explosive performance of Chi Tam's team, the competition night also featured the participation of the other two teams. Singer Thanh Thanh (Producer Melyd K's team) with the song Phai dau cuoc tinh. Melyd K brought a relaxing "chill" remix, and Producer Chi Tam even assisted in the acting in the opening part. Judge Nguyen Vu praised Thanh Thanh's deep, warm voice but regretted the rather abrupt ending. Musician Nguyen Van Chung also suggested that Melyd K should add musical instruments like flutes to highlight the remix.
Meanwhile, singer Ngan Nara (Producer Bao Kun's team) brought a poignant feeling through Thao thuc vi em. Although highly appreciated for her innovative idea in bossa nova style, the arrangement was considered not really suitable for Ngan Nara's age and voice. Judge Nguyen Van Chung said that if the song was transformed into the feelings of a young girl, the performance would be more convincing instead of carrying the feelings of an experienced person.
At the end of the competition night, singer Red (Chi Tam's team) temporarily took the lead with 19.5 points, closely followed by Thanh Thanh (Melyd K's team) with 19.25 points and Ngan Nara (Bao Kun's team) with 19 points.
