Textbooks have reached students in the flood-hit commune of Hoa Thinh, Dak Lak.

On the morning of November 29, Mr. Tran Van Sau - Principal of Dong Khoi Secondary School (Hoa Thinh commune, Dak Lak province) said that the unit had just received textbooks transferred by the Vietnam Education Publishing House, including 2 sets of books: Creative Horizon, Connecting Knowledge and Life.

According to Mr. Sau, the recent historic flood left 742 students of the school without books, notebooks, and learning materials. The school also suffered heavy losses when all teaching equipment and simulation experiments in the subject rooms were swept away or damaged by the flood.

"With the attention of the Ministry of Education and Training , the Department of Education and Training, local authorities, functional forces and benefactors, the school has cleaned up to welcome students back to school. In particular, the students were supported with free textbooks, which is a great joy and also a motivation for teachers and students to try their best in teaching and ensuring the progress of the first semester program of the 2025-2026 school year," said Mr. Sau.

At Hoa Thinh Primary School (Hoa Thinh Commune), Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Kieu - Vice Principal could not hide her joy when the car carrying 805 sets of Canh Dieu books just arrived at the school yard.

"From the morning of November 26, students returned to school, each class only studied with one book from the teacher, so it was very disadvantaged. Today, receiving the textbooks is a joy, and also a great spiritual resource for teachers and students after the recent historic flood," Ms. Kieu expressed.

According to Ms. Kieu, on the afternoon of November 29 and November 30, the school will distribute enough textbooks for students to proactively prepare according to their timetables. "Students and their families have lost too much, now we need to make an effort to both teach and encourage each other to overcome difficulties," Ms. Kieu added.

According to the latest update from the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training, on the morning of November 29, textbooks from the Vietnam Education Publishing House were delivered to schools in Hoa Thinh commune including: Hoa Thinh Primary School, Hoa Dong Primary School, Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School and Dong Khoi Secondary School.

The Department of Education and Training leader also said that when the textbooks arrive, the school will immediately distribute them so that students can proactively arrange their study schedules. Students in the remaining communes will do the same.
