Da Nang starts construction of super entertainment and commercial complex project worth nearly 80,000 billion VND

The super project of the high-end cultural, entertainment, commercial and service park (Da Nang Downtown) was started with an investment capital of up to nearly 80,000 billion VND.

On August 19, Sun Group Corporation in collaboration with Da Nang City organized the groundbreaking ceremony of the super project of the high-class cultural, entertainment, commercial and service park (Da Nang Downtown).

The Da Nang Downtown super complex has a scale of 76.92 hectares, built in Hoa Cuong ward, with a total investment of about 79,790 billion VND.

The project includes a cultural and entertainment park, a theater, a bustling riverside commercial area, a green park embracing the Han River and the iconic 69-storey tower, the tallest in the Central region...

According to Sun Group, the focal point of Danang Downtown is the cultural and entertainment park including a theater of over 9,000 m2, with a scale of 4,000 seats, an Opera auditorium and a multi-purpose room; a museum area, an exhibition center, etc.

In particular, the 69-storey tower is 408m high, the second tallest in Vietnam (408m). The tower integrates multiple utilities such as a 5-star hotel, class A offices, luxury apartments, shopping malls, restaurants, conference and event areas, etc., creating an “all-in-one” destination. The building will be an architectural symbol of the Central region.

To implement the Da Nang Downtown project, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam ( BIDV ) has issued a letter of credit commitment with a maximum amount of nearly VND 67,700 billion to Sun Group.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Chairman of Sun Group Central Region, said that the super project Da Nang Downtown will continue Sun Group's dedicated journey in Da Nang, creating a new symbol worthy of the position and strength of the new Da Nang, especially helping the city exploit the potential of the night economy to attract domestic and foreign tourists.

This morning, August 19, a series of groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies took place at 80 locations to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The ceremony was held online from the central point (National Exhibition and Fair Center, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi) to 79 points of 34 provinces and cities.

The total investment of 250 projects and works is up to 1.28 million billion VND. Of which, 89 projects and works have been inaugurated and 161 projects and works have started construction.
