According to the latest information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (Department of Hydro-Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ), the weather across the country on the occasion of National Day, September 2, is forecasted to have little rain during the day, with some areas having intermittent sunshine; however, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in the late afternoon and at night.
Specifically, the national hydro-meteorological agency forecasts that during the main period of the holiday, from September 1 to 5, the Northern and Central regions will likely have thunderstorms in the late afternoon and at night; during the day, there will be little rain and intermittent sunshine.
The Central Highlands and the South are also forecast to have sunny days and showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
Regarding weather developments from now until August 31, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that from the night of August 20 to 23, the Northern region is likely to have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, and some mountainous areas will have heavy to very heavy rain.
During the period from August 24 to August 27, the weather in the Northern region will have less rain. The highest temperature during the day during this period is commonly 31-34 degrees Celsius.
From August 27, it is forecasted that in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa , rain may increase again; the highest temperature during the day is commonly 31 - 34 degrees Celsius.
In the Central region, from August 20 to 23, the weather will be mostly sunny, with showers and thunderstorms in some places in the afternoon and evening. From August 24 to 28, the Central region is likely to see widespread thunderstorms again; the highest temperature during the day will be 32 to 35 degrees, but there are no signs of widespread heat.
For the Central Highlands and the South, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that on August 20, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, sunny weather; from August 21 to August 28, there will be thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening on many days.
The highest temperature during the day in the Central Highlands region is commonly from 28 - 32 degrees Celsius; in the Southern region, it is commonly from 32 - 35 degrees Celsius.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also noted that in the Northwest Pacific region, there are strong disturbances that can develop into tropical depressions and storms, then potentially move into the East Sea, affecting the weather in the Northern and Central regions in the last days of August.
