(DN) - To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on the morning of August 19, the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of 250 projects and works were held simultaneously across the country with a total investment of up to 1.28 million billion VND. The program was held online, with 80 connecting points in 34 provinces and cities across the country. Attending the event at the main connecting point of the National Exhibition Center in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi were: General Secretary To Lam; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Along with the whole country, on August 19, Dong Nai province simultaneously held groundbreaking, inauguration and opening ceremonies for 8 key projects and works. Central and provincial leaders attended these ceremonies.

Groundbreaking Ceremony of Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway Expansion Project

At Tam An Technical Maintenance Center (An Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai Province), the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway Expansion Project took place. Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were comrade Nguyen Van Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Finance and representatives of central departments, ministries and branches.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway Expansion Project, the first section from the Ring Road 2 intersection (Ho Chi Minh City) to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway intersection (Dong Nai province), with a length of 22km, is invested by the Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC), with a total investment of nearly 16.3 trillion VND, expected to be completed by the end of 2026...

Speaking at the ceremony, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Kim Long assessed: The project to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway from Ho Chi Minh City to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway in Dong Nai province not only serves traffic, but also opens up new development momentum for the Southeast region, promoting the connection of seaports, industrial parks, logistics centers, urban areas, and international finance. At the same time, the project also contributes to ensuring national defense and security, affirming the role of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai in the integration and development process.

In Tri An commune (Dong Nai province), the groundbreaking ceremony of Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion project took place.

The Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project is invested by Vietnam Electricity Group. The consortium consists of 6 contractors, headed by Lung Lo Construction Corporation. The project has a total investment of about 3.9 trillion VND, expected to be completed by the end of 2027. This is a national key project in the energy sector.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc said: The Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project was selected as one of 34 connecting points with the participation of Government leaders and was broadcast live, transmitting images to the central connecting point in Hanoi. This is a great honor and also confirms the importance of the project... The province requested Vietnam Electricity Group to direct investors and contractors to mobilize maximum human resources and machinery; organize construction safely - with quality - on schedule; comply with technical requirements and environmental protection; and provide consultants to supervise and strictly control quality, progress, and labor safety.

Groundbreaking ceremony of Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Construction Investment Project (Phase 1)

At Long Thanh International Airport, Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Aircraft Maintenance Technical Center (Hangar No. 3 and No. 4).

Inauguration of the first section of Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City

This is a group C project, a level III project, invested by Dong Nai province's budget with a total investment of more than 133 billion VND. The project was assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor.
