The conference was held in person at Nguyen Du Specialized High School (Tan An Ward) and online to 349 locations, which are 349 junior high schools throughout the province, with the participation of leaders, teachers of junior high schools, and education management officials from 102 communes and wards across the province.

After the merger, the province has 349 secondary schools with 194,413 students; of which 57,528 are ethnic minority students (accounting for nearly 29.6%). The total number of administrators, teachers, and staff is 12,656.

Secondary schools have focused on digital transformation in teaching and management; career guidance has been emphasized, with 100% of schools organizing career counseling activities for 9th-grade students on career orientation and choosing suitable subjects according to their abilities, creating a foundation for students' development at the high school level. The percentage of secondary school students with academic results rated as satisfactory or higher is 95.98%; the percentage of students with conduct rated as satisfactory or higher is 99.89%.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the tasks for lower secondary education are: effectively implementing the Party and State's policies on education in the context of a two-tiered local government; effectively implementing the 2018 General Education Program; effectively organizing two-session-per-day teaching; improving the quality of foreign language teaching in schools; and promoting digital transformation in education…
