Promoting digital transformation in secondary education

On the afternoon of August 19, the Department of Education and Training held a conference to summarize the 2024-2025 school year and deploy directions and tasks for the 2025-2026 school year at the secondary level.

The conference was held directly at Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted (Tan An Ward) online to 349 connecting points, which are 349 secondary schools across the province, with the participation of leaders, teachers of secondary schools, and education management staff of 102 communes and wards across the province.

After the merger, the province has 349 secondary schools with 194,413 students; of which 57,528 are ethnic minority students (accounting for nearly 29.6%). The total number of managers, teachers and staff is 12,656 people.

Secondary education institutions have focused on digital transformation in teaching and management; career guidance is emphasized with 100% of schools organizing career counseling activities for 9th grade students on career orientation and choosing appropriate subjects according to their abilities, creating a premise for students to develop in high school. The percentage of secondary school students with academic results ranked as satisfactory or higher is 95.98%; training results ranked as satisfactory or higher is 99.89%.

In the 2025-2026 school year, the tasks of secondary education are: Effectively implementing the Party and State's policies on education in the context of implementing two-level local government; effectively implementing the 2018 General Education Program; effectively organizing two-session teaching/day; improving the quality of foreign language teaching in schools; promoting digital transformation in education...
