Sunrise on Ba Dong beach

Ba Dong Beach is a famous scenic spot and tourist area in Truong Long Hoa Commune (Duyen Hai Town, Tra Vinh Province), located about 50km southeast of Tra Vinh City and 10km east of Duyen Hai Town. This area is located between the two seaports Cung Hau (belonging to Tien River) and Dinh An (belonging to Hau River), facing the vast East Sea. This unique location has created a rich, diverse marine ecosystem and beautiful landscape that is rarely found anywhere else.

On the beach more than 10km long, gentle waves push the fine sand like the steady breathing of the ocean.

The sea surface sparkled with pink-orange rays of light, reflecting the brilliant colors of the sky, creating a magical scene that anyone who witnessed it would find hard to forget.

The special highlight of Ba Dong sea area today is the rows of wind power poles proudly standing in the middle of the ocean.

The turbines rotate slowly and steadily, taking advantage of the cool sea breeze to create clean energy for this land and the whole country.

The image of these giant wind power projects is a symbol of harmony between humans and nature, both exploiting natural potential and protecting the environment in the journey of sustainable development.

Dawn is also the time when the fishermen start a new day. The eyes and smiles of the energetic fishermen appear under the warm yellow light, like streaks of hope on the vast ocean.

Their simple, honest life is closely connected to the sea, to every wave, every wind and every ray of sunlight at the beginning of the day.

Ba Dong people mainly live on aquaculture and seafood exploitation.

The boats setting out from the early morning create a picturesque scene.

When the boats return, they are filled with fresh produce, bringing joy, continuing tradition and providing a source of livelihood for the fishermen's families.

In addition to offshore fishing, coastal fishermen in Ba Dong also have additional income from trawling.

The nets are white, have lead weights at the feet, have buoys, and are about 70-100m long.

A coastal net haul only takes about 15 to 20 minutes, although it does not bring in as many fish as those on offshore trips, for many fishermen who do not have the conditions to own a large boat, this is still a valuable source of income, contributing to a sustainable livelihood on the coast.

Many tourists enjoy the moment of sunrise on the Southwest coast.
