Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard strengthens cooperation with Hekou Immigration Border Control Station (China)

NDO - On the morning of March 27, a meeting between 4 Border Guard Stations of Lao Cai province (including: Bat Xat, Lao Cai International Border Gate, Muong Khuong and Pha Long) with the Hekou Immigration Border Control Station (China), and corresponding sub-stations took place in Lao Cai city.

In the first quarter of 2025, 4 Border Guard Stations of Bat Xat, Lao Cai International Border Gate, Muong Khuong, Pha Long (Vietnam) and Ha Khau Immigration and Exit Border Control Station, along with Pa Sa, Tam Diem, Lao Kha sub-stations (China) coordinated to organize joint patrols 3 times, with 120 officers and soldiers from each side participating.

The two sides have strictly complied with and maintained the implementation of the contents of the three legal documents on the border and bilateral cooperation agreements. At the same time, they have actively coordinated in propagating and educating people in border areas to understand and grasp legal documents on the border, contributing to raising people's awareness; promoting the construction of a peaceful , friendly, cooperative and developed border.

The functional forces of the two sides also actively coordinated to combat and effectively resolve many incidents arising at the border and border gates, and to fight against crimes and illegal activities at the border.

Coordinated and conducted 37 handovers of 92 citizens who illegally entered and exited the country, violating the law on the border. Of which, Vietnam handed over 6 citizens to China 4 times; China handed over 86 citizens to Vietnam 33 times.

At the talks, the two sides agreed to continue to maintain and strengthen the signed cooperation mechanisms in the coming time, such as: talks; information exchange; liaison officers; hotline phone; handling emergency situations at the border.

Coordinate effectively in managing entry and exit vehicles, strengthen guidance and regulation of vehicles, and ensure smooth and quick movement.

Continue to organize exchange activities, professional training, join hands to build Lao Cai international border gate (Vietnam) and Hekou (China) into a model of border gate cooperation on the Vietnam-China land border.

On this occasion, the two sides also organized the awarding of the title of Vietnam-China Friendship Ambassador for the first quarter of 2025 to two comrades, including one comrade from Vietnam and one comrade from China.
