On the evening of September 25, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a notice rejecting the merger plan that was spreading on social networks. Among them, there were a number of universities that were merged into clusters of universities in the North.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, this unit was assigned by the Government to develop a project to rearrange and reorganize the university education system and is still coordinating with relevant agencies to research and evaluate the current situation before reporting the plan for the Government to consider and decide.
“The information circulating about the current plan to reorganize and rearrange higher education institutions is incorrect and not provided by the Ministry of Education and Training. We request that people do not spread this information,” the Ministry of Education and Training warned.
