To prepare for the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, the Ministry of Education and Training has just sent an official dispatch to localities, universities, colleges, and vocational training institutions.

The Ministry of Education and Training requested localities to direct schools to organize the opening ceremony of the new school year at the same time as the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) and the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year at the National Convention Center, from 8:00 to 9:30 on September 5.

Localities direct, arrange, and prepare adequate transmission lines and equipment to connect online or via VTV1 television channel at all educational institutions in the area; coordinate with local telecommunications and television units to ensure stable signals, good image and sound quality.

In 2025-2026, students nationwide will start the new school year on the morning of September 5.

The Ministry of Education and Training requests that on September 5, all planned school activities (if any) be organized concisely and end before 8:00 a.m. From 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., all delegates, teachers, students and pupils fully participate in the contents of the program organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, including performing the flag-raising ceremony, singing the National Anthem at the same time as the flag-raising ceremony at the National Convention Center and listening to the speech of General Secretary To Lam , etc.

Educational institutions have appropriate response plans to weather conditions, ensure traffic safety, security and order, and fire prevention during the ceremony.

In previous years, students of kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, and high schools attended the opening ceremony of the new school year on September 5, while universities and colleges had their own plans for the new school year. This year, the Ministry of Education and Training also issued an official dispatch requesting that universities and vocational training institutions hold the opening ceremony simultaneously on the morning of September 5 for students of all levels.

Universities and colleges are required to keep their planned activities short and complete before 8:00 a.m. From 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., all delegates, teachers, and students must attend all the content of the program organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and connect online.
