The Ministry of Education and Training has just decided to extend the time for candidates to continue confirming their university enrollment in the first phase of 2024.

The Ministry of Education and Training stated that, according to the initial 2024 enrollment plan, the deadline for candidates to confirm their enrollment on the general enrollment support system was 5 PM on August 27th.

However, according to feedback from training institutions and candidates, some candidates only discovered the oversight when enrolling in person at the school: they had not confirmed their enrollment on the system.

Therefore, to facilitate candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training continues to keep the system open for candidates to complete the enrollment confirmation procedures until 5 PM on August 31st.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the number of candidates admitted to universities in the first round of 2024 through the system is 673,586, an increase of 58,116 candidates compared to 2023.

However, as of now, the number of candidates who have confirmed their enrollment is 551,479, accounting for 81.87% of the total number of candidates admitted in the first round. Thus, there are 122,107 candidates who, despite being admitted, did not enroll in university, representing a rate of 18.13%.

Compared to last year, the enrollment rate after admission this year is higher (in 2023, this rate was 80.34%).
