6 minutes and 19 seconds to help students brave the rain.

On the afternoon of May 29, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City experienced heavy rain during rush hour. The streets were slippery, and traffic was heavily congested.
At 2:39 PM, with exactly 21 minutes left before the afternoon exam begins, D.H.P.P., a 9th-grade student born in 2008, was still stuck at the Truong Dinh - Vo Thi Sau intersection with her parents. The exam location at 280 An Duong Vuong Street was still far away. The risk of being late was imminent.
Seeing the traffic police team on duty, P.'s parents immediately approached them for assistance. Officer Ho Vuong Quoc of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Traffic Police Department immediately recognized the urgency of the situation. After a quick report to the duty officer, he instructed P. to put on a helmet, get on the police motorcycle, and speed away in the rain.
Just 6 minutes and 19 seconds later, student P. walked through the school gate. There were 12 minutes left before the exam papers were distributed.
The team was fully prepared even before the exam day.
The entrance exam for 10th grade in the 2026-2027 school year in Ho Chi Minh City will attract 151,000 candidates. This is one of the biggest educational events of the year, leading to considerable pressure on security, public order, and traffic safety throughout the city.
Prior to the exam day, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Traffic Department developed specific plans for each exam location. Officers and soldiers coordinated closely with local police, youth volunteers, and other volunteer teams to manage and regulate traffic flow. At intersections in front of school gates, officers were present from early morning, ready to handle any unforeseen situations.
The transportation of exam papers and answer sheets is also strictly protected. Traffic police are deployed to escort the entire route, ensuring smooth and absolutely safe traffic flow.

"Closest to the people" - not just a slogan.
Not only in the city center, but also in An Long commune, the local police force has implemented a comprehensive range of measures to ensure security and order at the Tay Son Secondary School examination site. Officers have increased patrols and are reviewing factors that could affect the exam. Traffic management, fire prevention and control, and rescue operations have all been activated.
The spirit of "Closest to the people" isn't just on a signboard. It's evident in every concrete action – a soldier braving the wind and rain to bring students to their exam rooms on time, a police team staying up all night to ensure students enter the school gates the next morning with the best possible mindset.
This exam season, behind each student is a whole force working hard to maintain order.
