The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises citizens traveling to Greece.

According to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece, at noon on August 8th, two Vietnamese citizens fell into the sea at Sarakiniko beach on Milos Island, Greece. Despite rescue efforts by Greek authorities, both citizens died.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Greece has promptly contacted and coordinated with local and domestic authorities, as well as the travel company, to investigate the incident, provide consular protection to Vietnamese citizens, and contact the victims' families in Vietnam to offer condolences and support.

Following the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece continues to coordinate closely with local and domestic authorities, guiding them through the relevant procedures and assisting families in arranging funerals for the victims.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Greece advises its citizens traveling to Greece that, given the strong winds at this time, they should avoid standing close to cliffs or boat edges, and refrain from going out to sea during thunderstorms to prevent unfortunate accidents.
