"De Men: Adventure to the Swamp" creates a De Men of the 21st century, with the breath of modern life, when mentioning many "hot" issues such as recycling and climate change. Besides the main characters from the original such as De Men, De Trui, there are also the appearance of many new characters who are vividly personified and carry many traditional Vietnamese cultural elements, by combining folk music materials with the appearance of traditional musical instruments.
The film promises to not only attract attention thanks to its engaging plot and vivid images, but also affirm a new position for Vietnamese animation when the entire production process - from ideas, design to post-production - is all carried out by Vietnamese people.
Production director Vu Duy Nam also emphasized: “We want to prove that Vietnam is completely capable of creating quality, decent and artistic film products” . This is not just an animated film, but the expectation of a creative industry owned by Vietnamese people, not only conquering domestic audiences but also being able to “conquer” the international market.
