According to statistics, mobile network operators have received 6 million text messages to the 1414 hotline, along with identification numbers for verifying subscriber information.
From March 1st to March 31st, 2024, the Telecommunications Department ( Ministry of Information and Communications ) recorded approximately 1.62 million documents, corresponding to 7.9 million SIM cards belonging to subscriber groups with 4-9 SIM cards.
To date, approximately 1,200 subscribers have contacted telecommunications companies, inquiring about SIM cards registered under their names but not in use. As a result, network operators have removed these numbers from the customer complaints list and implemented procedures to block one-way or two-way service for subscribers whose names are incorrect or who lack proper documentation.
Mobile network operators have established strict procedures to help users access information; they recommend that mobile users request the removal of their information from unused subscriptions to protect their rights and avoid mistakenly blocking legitimate subscriptions that are currently in use.
