VOV.VN - At the National Online Conference on Digital Transformation, Minister of Public Security , Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang emphasized: Ensuring digital transformation of the Public Security sector must be substantial, quality and convenient.
On October 10, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security ( Hanoi ), the 3rd National Online Conference on Digital Transformation and the 2-year review of the implementation of Plan 377 on digitizing records and documents in the People's Public Security force took place. (Photo: Trong Phu) In 2024, the Ministry of Public Security has identified the Public Security sector as the year that it begins to shift from a traditional working environment to an electronic environment and digitally transform all aspects of Public Security work. According to the Plan, in 2024, the Public Security sector will carry out 83 digital transformation tasks, including 59 time-limited tasks and 24 regular tasks or tasks with separate plans.
For the Public Security sector, 2024 is considered a pivotal year for implementing Plan No. 377 with the goal of completing 100% digitization of records and documents serving professional work, digital transformation and providing online public services by 2025.
Conference overview At the conference, Deputy Minister of Public Security - Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long informed that the Ministry of Public Security has been proactive and effective in advising the Government and the Prime Minister to focus on perfecting the institutions, mechanisms, and general legal policies related to national digital transformation; at the same time, within the Public Security sector, it has promoted administrative procedure reform, legal improvement; researched and proposed the development of many laws, circulars, and decrees, ensuring sufficient legal basis for effective implementation of the Law on Identification; built, created, connected, and exploited data to ensure "correct, sufficient, clean, and alive". In addition, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations, and at the same time requested delegates to focus on analyzing, finding the causes, and proposing solutions to effectively implement digital transformation in the People's Public Security and tasks related to the digitization of records and documents in the People's Public Security.

The Minister of Public Security recalled an important article by General Secretary andPresident To Lam, emphasizing that "Digital transformation is an important driving force for developing productive forces, perfecting production relations, and bringing the country into a new era". Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang emphasized: "Ensuring that the digital transformation of the Public Security sector must be substantial, of high quality and convenient. For the people, businesses and serving social management, it is worthy of the pioneering, exemplary and leading role in national digital transformation". At the same time, the Minister of Public Security also clearly stated 7 requirements and tasks in the coming time regarding digital transformation.
Delegates at the Conference visited exhibition booths on digital transformation. Regarding resources for digital transformation, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized focusing on building resources; perfecting the organization and apparatus for digital transformation from the central to local levels; training a generation of police officers in the 4.0 period to fulfill the role of digital transformation right from school; prioritizing funding for the implementation of Project 06 and digital transformation in the People's Public Security.
