The Ministry of Information and Communications organizes concentrated professional training for more than 400 officials who are leaders and managers at all levels.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that the seminar was an opportunity for the Minister and leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications to directly listen to opinions and concerns from officials performing tasks at the Ministry's units.

At the training course, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung had a discussion with the trainees on the topic: "Leaders and managers of the Ministry of Information and Communications are ready for innovation in the digital age".

At the Seminar, the officials asked the Minister questions on 4 groups of issues related to the fields that the Ministry is managing: Orientation for the development of the IT&T industry in 2024; Necessary skills of leaders and managers in the digital transformation period; AI and virtual assistants; Digital transformation culture.

Digital transformation is easy to do, think simple.

Regarding digital transformation and green transformation, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung suggested, think of digital transformation simply, don't think it's complicated and difficult to do. If you want digital transformation, you have to be green, and if you're green, you have to be digital. Green transformation is to live in more harmony with mother nature and The most important thing for humanity is to create awareness and communication about green transformation. If a country wants to transform digitally and transform greenly, it needs to communicate to its people what green transformation is. Green transformation is going out of the room, turning off the lights, using less water, and these actions must become behaviors and habits. Green transformation is using digital technology and smart data to compensate. The Ministry of Information and Communications is the state management agency of the press and needs to communicate more strongly to the people about this issue.

To do both content and technology and ensure digital transformation, the Minister affirmed that content now needs technology and technology needs content. Nowadays, doing technology is also doing journalism. Press agencies create a platform for everyone to write articles on the platform. Moreover, culture must be considered mandatory, then it must be maintained. Culture is forged into a habit by the leader and often built into an institution, concretized otherwise it will just be lip service.

The Minister also emphasized that the 10 golden words of the Ministry "Loyalty, Courage, Dedication, Creativity, and Compassion" need to be maintained and "breathed into life", because if not breathed into life, it will be quickly forgotten and the leader must be the one to maintain that.

Each person is a different individual and the difference can contribute to the sustainability of the organization. Therefore, the head of a unit must understand and know how to "tolerate" people.

Emphasizing the state management of Leaders, the Minister said that as specialists and departmental leaders, they must handle their regular work well, spending at least 95% of their time on this. Unit and departmental leaders need to create new, meaningful work and support their staff, that is, when they come up with new work, it must be easy for staff to do.

Trust and assign tasks to young staff

Concluding the discussion, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that the Department of Organization and Personnel needs to boldly appoint and assign tasks to cadres based on their potential and accept possible risks. Furthermore, training for management cadres must be prepared right now so that cadres can gain experience and then be trained to take on higher positions in the future.

The Ministry of Information and Communications has a culture that if you are appointed to do a good job, you will continue to do it; if you are not able to do it, you are ready to withdraw. In addition, when appointing and assigning tasks, you need to push the goals of the tasks higher so that the abilities of the staff can be revealed sooner. If you assign tasks with average goals, you do not know when the abilities will be revealed and will affect the whole organization.

Young cadres should not be afraid of work, because being assigned a task by the leader means receiving trust, so they need to learn and experience to do well the role of department head or deputy department head. Being a manager, a very important point is to think clearly and specifically about your work.

The Minister said that on the first working day of the new year, the Party Committee gave some words to guide the Ministry's activities in 2024: "Broader, more comprehensive, faster, better quality and more practical". Therefore, cadres must work with better quality and more practicality to be able to realize Vietnam's aspirations.
