What administrative procedures will the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism manage in the field of cultural heritage?

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a Decision on promulgating new internal administrative procedures in the state administrative system in the field of cultural heritage, under the management scope of the Ministry.

Accordingly, the new internal administrative procedures in the field of cultural heritage under the management of the Ministry will include: Procedures for deciding to organize festivals of all types of intangible cultural heritage at national and international scale in Vietnam, festivals of each type of intangible cultural heritage at national scale in the country organized by the Department of Cultural Heritage.

Procedures for collecting opinions on organizing intangible cultural heritage festivals covering 2 or more provincial-level administrative units organized by the Provincial People's Committee; Procedures for organizing exhibitions and introductions of intangible cultural heritage on a national or international scale in Vietnam or abroad, chaired and coordinated by the Department of Cultural Heritage; Procedures for approving projects on management, protection and promotion of intangible cultural heritage values...

Not long before, the Ministry also announced that an administrative procedure was abolished in the field of cultural heritage under its management, which is the procedure for issuing health insurance cards to People's Artists and Meritorious Artists.

This Decision No. 3257/QD-BVHTTDL is based on Decree No. 215/2025/ND-CP dated August 4, 2025 of the Government stipulating measures to manage, protect and promote the values of world cultural and natural heritage, underwater cultural heritage, intangible cultural heritage in UNESCO Lists and National List of intangible cultural heritage and policies for artisans and subjects of intangible cultural heritage;

Pursuant to Decision No. 1085/QD-TTg dated September 15, 2022 of the Prime Minister promulgating the Plan to review and simplify internal administrative procedures in the state administrative system for the period 2022 - 2025./.
