According to the report, immediately after the incident, the Minister of Construction directed localities to review the management of safety corridors and fire prevention and fighting in road infrastructure. At the same time, the State Appraisal Department coordinated with Hanoi agencies to inspect and assess the impact of the fire on the structure of Vinh Tuy Bridge.
The inspection results show that the CV1C Ramp branch (from Vinh Tuy bridge to Nguyen Khoi dike) is still capable of operating with the design load, but the safety reserve level has decreased, so it is necessary to adjust the operating mode, absolutely avoid congestion and need to repair and strengthen to restore the bearing capacity and life of the project, and avoid further damage.

The Ministry of Construction reported to the Prime Minister about the fire at the parking lot under Vinh Tuy bridge.
During the time of repair, Hanoi must organize traffic regulation, limit trucks crossing the bridge during rush hour, and increase monitoring. If unusual cracks are detected, vehicles must be absolutely banned from passing through the CV1C Ramp branch.
At around 1pm on August 30, a fire broke out at the parking lot under the CV1C ramp of Vinh Tuy bridge leading down to Nguyen Khoi dike. The fire burned down about 500 motorbikes.
Currently, the city has put up signs restricting vehicles under 18 tons in weight to pass through this bridge branch.
