Netizens are debating a photo of new signing Bryan Mbeumo during his debut match against Everton on the morning of August 4th.

A photo of Mbeumo quickly went viral on social media, showing the striker's "oversized" belly during a friendly match against Everton. The wave of criticism against Mbeumo immediately intensified when the photo went viral.

One fan wrote: "£70 million for a striker with a super-sized waist?". Another commented: "Mbeumo has had a pretty lucrative summer."

However, the British press claimed that this was merely a manipulated image. This assertion was quickly echoed by a section of the fans.

"If Mbeumo looked like this, he would definitely have been dropped from the squad by Ruben Amorim, let alone on the pitch," one fan wrote. Another account commented: "Mbeumo looked very slim when he debuted for MU. Obviously, that photo has been photoshopped."

In the match against Everton, Mbeumo was deployed as a striker in a 3-4-1-2 formation. Alongside the former Brentford player was Matheus Cunha.
