During the September 2nd holiday in Ho Chi Minh City, many locals and tourists flocked to 4-5 star hotels to enjoy vegetarian buffets with dozens of delicious and attractive dishes.

At the Viễn Đông Hotel (Pham Ngu Lao Street, Ho Chi Minh City), diners can enjoy a vegetarian buffet during the September 2nd holiday and throughout the seventh lunar month. More than 50 distinctive vegan dishes from Vietnam and many other countries await locals and tourists alike.
Many delicious vegetarian dishes await diners during the Vu Lan season.

Throughout the seventh lunar month, the vegetarian buffet is served at two fixed times: lunch and dinner, priced at 189,000 VND per ticket. Guests who book one day in advance will receive a 10% discount. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Trang, Deputy Director of Vien Dong Hotel, said that the menu is rotated so that each time guests visit, they have a new experience. Vegetarian food is increasingly chosen by locals and tourists because it is good for health, helps the body feel light and pure, not only during the Vu Lan season.

Diners can start their meal with refreshing barley sprout salad, young jackfruit and tofu spring rolls, or water lily and bamboo shoot salad...

The main courses at Viễn Đông Hotel are hearty and flavorful, including vegetarian vermicelli soup, vegetarian grilled pork ribs and minced meatballs with rice, savory pancakes, delicious and rich Japanese-style curry, stir-fried Udon noodles with mushrooms and vegetables, and tempting steamed duck eggs with marbled patterns...

Ms. Hong Hanh (residing in Binh Chanh commune, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the price of 189,000 VND per ticket for the 50-dish buffet is reasonable. She particularly liked the vegetarian vermicelli soup and broken rice dish at Vien Dong Hotel. "The flavors are very distinctive, the broth is delicious and rich. I plan to invite my friends back to eat vegetarian food this July," Ms. Hanh said.

At the Rex Hotel (Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), during the seventh lunar month, a vegetarian buffet with over 100 dishes, organized by Chay Garden in collaboration with the hotel, also attracted the attention of many diners.

A buffet menu of over 100 dishes will be served throughout the year, changing weekly. Besides creative vegetarian dishes, many familiar traditional dishes such as pho, banh xeo (Vietnamese savory pancake), banh khot (miniature savory pancakes), wild flower salad, and Southern-style sour soup will be elevated and become highlights during the Vu Lan festival.
