The song "Continuing the Story of Peace" by composer Nguyen Van Chung is currently one of the most talked-about songs, especially after "going viral" on digital platforms and achieving impressive listening figures.

Recently, the song has once again attracted special attention as it appeared in the Literature exam at many high schools nationwide, for all three grades: 10, 11, and 12.

Specifically, at Van Lam High School (Hung Yen), in the 12th-grade Literature quality assessment exam, the question quoted the lyrics: " Our ancestors fell so that we could have peace in the future." Based on these meaningful lyrics, the exam required students, from their own perspective, to write an argumentative essay discussing what needs to be done to continue the story of peace.

Similarly, at the Pedagogical Practice High School - Dong Nai University, the school-level gifted student exam for 10th graders also used an excerpt from the song "Continuing the Story of Peace." The exam required students to write an argumentative essay on the topic "The Young Generation Continues the Story of Peace."

The second semester exam in Literature for 11th graders at Nguyen Du High School also required students to express their thoughts on the value of peace as depicted in the meaningful song by composer Nguyen Van Chung.

The fact that a contemporary song, which is popular on music platforms and social media, has been included in official exams at all levels of education demonstrates the song's widespread appeal and content value.

Upon hearing this news, musician Nguyen Van Chung couldn't hide his emotion and surprise. He shared: "I am very happy and surprised that my song was included in the Literature exam for all three grades (10, 11, and 12), and I also heard from teachers that the students were very enthusiastic and excited about this exam."

The musician also expressed his belief that the success and widespread appeal of "Continuing the Story of Peace" is not only an achievement of this song itself, but also greatly contributes to spreading the children's songs he has composed over the years.

"Continuing the Story of Peace" is a song from the album of the same name, originally released in 2023 by the 8X generation author and sung by singer Nguyen Duyen Quynh. The song was initially released to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2023).

With its simple lyrics and stirring melody expressing the gratitude of the younger generation towards their ancestors, the song is perfectly suited to the festive atmosphere celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The song spread widely across short video platforms, being used as background music by hundreds of thousands of people. During the April 30th National Day celebrations, the song garnered over 4 billion listens (across all platforms). Notably, the version performed by Vo Ha Tram and Dong Hung received a positive response, with one performance reaching the top 1 trending spot on YouTube Vietnam's music category.
