Ca Mau listens to voters, resolves obstacles in public works projects.

On May 7th, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation continued its program of meeting with voters following the first session of the 16th National Assembly, using a hybrid format combining in-person and online participation in various locations throughout the province.

Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Ca Mau Provincial Delegation to the National Assembly, attended the meeting at the Tan Thanh ward, Thoi Binh commune, and Cai Nuoc commune locations.

At the meetings, the Ca Mau Provincial National Assembly Delegation reported to the voters on the results of the recent National Assembly session. Accordingly, the Ca Mau delegation participated in 34 group discussions and delivered 4 speeches in the plenary session, focusing on many issues related to local realities and people's lives.

Voters expressed enthusiasm and appreciation for the delegation's sense of responsibility and insightful, practical opinions at the meeting. The voter consultation meeting also recorded many heartfelt opinions from real-life experiences at the grassroots level.

At the Tan Thanh ward and Thoi Binh commune meeting points, voters raised many issues related to the policy of streamlining the administrative apparatus; the reorganization of hamlets and neighborhoods; and the regime and policies for grassroots officials and part-time officials.

In addition, voters frankly raised pressing issues such as land, transportation, healthcare, education , market prices, anti-corruption efforts, counterfeit goods, and many other urgent social problems.

Colonel Ho Viet Trieu, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Police, and member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs, delivered a speech at the conference held at the Cai Nuoc commune's remote location.

Voters at the Cai Nuoc commune polling station proposed solutions for sustainable fisheries development; and addressed the issues of tidal surges and riverbank erosion. Residents expressed concerns about deteriorating transportation infrastructure and requested the acceleration of project implementation; the expansion of National Highway 1; and investment in water supply and drainage systems and other public service facilities.

Issues related to labor, employment, vocational training; policies supporting loans under Central Resolution 68; regulations for part-time workers after mergers; and the upgrading and repair of grassroots health stations also received special attention.

Listening to and incorporating feedback from the grassroots, Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai requested that relevant agencies promptly advise on and resolve the issues of concern and frustration to the people.

The comrade requested that matters falling under local authority be reviewed by relevant departments and agencies, and that voters be given written responses in the near future.

Regarding matters falling under the central government's jurisdiction, the Ca Mau Provincial National Assembly Delegation will compile and report them to the National Assembly, the Government, and relevant ministries and agencies. These matters include policies and regulations for village and hamlet officials after reorganization; policies for mass organizations; education; land; and allowances for Party and State officials.

Combining in-person and online formats demonstrates the innovative spirit in the activities of the Ca Mau Provincial National Assembly Delegation, not only expanding connectivity but also creating conditions for people to boldly express their thoughts and aspirations, contributing to strengthening public trust, creating social consensus, and providing impetus for local socio-economic development in the new period.
