The whole hill was "carved up" for illegal land exploitation.

For more than half a month, the lives of people in residential group 6, Dong Gia Nghia ward ( Lam Dong ) have been turned upside down due to illegal land exploitation.

From 9am to 11pm, dozens of trucks carrying soil operate, forcing dozens of households to live with soil, dust and noise.

Ms. N. said that the illegal land exploitation has been going on since the beginning of November. Every day, excavators and trucks come and go continuously, seriously changing the current state of a hill.

Citing evidence from her family’s security camera, Ms. N. said: “They exploit the most at night. Some days, 7-8 dump trucks (dirt carriers - PV) run until 3am before stopping.”

Ms. H. added that as soon as the land exploitation was discovered, many households reported it to the authorities, requesting measures to prevent it. However, for more than half a month, this situation has continued and is still public.

“Many people directly texted and called the ward leaders, but so far there has been no change. They still brazenly scooped up soil and transported it elsewhere,” Ms. H. said, citing a series of text messages to the leaders of the Dong Gia Nghia Ward People’s Committee.

According to local people, land exploitation activities take place openly, in defiance of legal regulations.

Not only causing loss of resources, this illegal exploitation also poses many serious risks of landslides, labor accidents and traffic insecurity.

Ms. D. said that every day, hundreds of heavy trucks pass by, causing severe damage to the residential road. This is a 2km long road, built with the help of local people's contributions, serving about 200 households in the area.

“In just half a month, the road has been severely damaged. People are very upset because community property is being destroyed by people from other places,” said Ms. D.

Speaking to reporters from Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television, Mr. Thach Canh Tinh, Chairman of Dong Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee, confirmed that there was illegal land exploitation and had received complaints from the people. However, every time the officers came to check, the subjects were no longer at the scene.

In response to the question "Why have people complained for a long time but the issue has not been resolved yet?", this leader said: "We are monitoring, if there are enough factors, we will prosecute criminally."
