Following the administrative reorganization, Ha Tien ward is focusing on concretizing the Party Committee's action program for the 2025-2030 term through the implementation of a digital community model and piloting a digital Party branch. With the motto of putting the people at the center, community digital technology teams go door-to-door, supporting residents in installing and using essential digital platforms such as VNeID electronic identification, online public services, cashless payments, and many other applications serving daily life. The ward is promoting the "Digital Literacy Movement" through various online learning platforms, thereby helping residents gradually develop basic digital skills and proactively apply technology in solving problems and accessing information.

According to the People's Committee of Ha Tien Ward, as of April 30, 2026, the locality has recorded many positive results in digital transformation at the grassroots level. Online payment activities have expanded, with more than 1,500 cashless payment transactions, contributing to increased transparency and convenience for people and businesses. In the commercial sector, business households and enterprises are gradually accessing digital platforms, from online sales and product promotion on social media to applying technology in management. This is considered an inevitable direction to enhance competitiveness in the context of the digital economy .

According to Danh Chanh Thi, Director of Mekong Ha Tien Tourism One-Member Limited Company, the company is gradually promoting digital transformation in its business operations, tourism promotion, and customer care. The company focuses on applying digital platforms to introduce products and promote destinations online; simultaneously, it is implementing cashless payments, online booking, and online service contact to facilitate convenience for tourists.

In building a digital government, localities are focusing on applying technology and artificial intelligence in management and handling administrative procedures. According to Phan Khac Phara, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee and Director of the Public Administrative Service Center of Ha Tien Ward, one of the highlights of the locality's digital transformation is the application of artificial intelligence to serve the people. The ward has deployed an AI-integrated reception robot at the Public Administrative Service Center to assist people in searching for documents and guiding them through the process of handling administrative procedures. This model helps people easily access information while creating a modern image in state management activities at the grassroots level.

From the beginning of the year to the end of April 2026, the Ward's Public Administrative Service Center received more than 3,400 applications, of which more than 3,240 were processed online. The rate of applications resolved ahead of schedule reached over 99%; online payments reached over 95%, demonstrating the effectiveness of administrative reform associated with digital transformation and the positive change in people's habits of using public services.

In addition to focusing on building a digital government, Ha Tien also aims to establish digital Party branches throughout the ward's Party committee. Initially, the ward's Party committee will pilot the use of electronic Party member handbooks in 1-2 neighborhood Party branches, processing non-confidential documents online, organizing Party branch meetings combining in-person and online participation; implementing cashless payment of Party membership fees and applying technology in managing records and conducting work.

However, digital transformation in Ha Tien ward still faces many difficulties, especially the lack of synchronized information technology infrastructure in some departments; and limited equipment for professional work. The digital skills of some officials, civil servants, and citizens do not yet meet practical requirements. The use of online public services, cashless payments, and digital platforms in daily life is not yet truly widespread.

According to Tran Hai Quoc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tien Ward, in the coming time, the locality will continue to expand the models of digital neighborhoods and digital markets, and improve the effectiveness of community digital technology groups to guide people in using essential digital applications, public services, and electronic payments. The ward will strengthen the organization of hands-on training sessions in residential areas, prioritizing support for the elderly and households with difficult circumstances to access digital technology. The goal is to have over 90% of residents possessing basic digital skills and 100% of Party branches using digital platforms for activities and meetings.
